The Vincci Valdecañas Golf 4* is located on the Isla de Valdecañas, a natural territory framed between the Sierra de Gredos and the Mofragüe Natural Park. In the province of Cáceres. This island is considered the Marbella of Extremadura.
The resort has 24-hour reception, heating and air conditioning depending on the season, gourmet restaurant, bar-cafeteria, free wifi, free indoor car park, free outdoor car park, several paddle and tennis courts, outdoor swimming pools during the summer season and a golf course with 18 holes.

We stayed in a superior room and very well, they even let us leave at 14hr and so take advantage of the last day until the end.
In the subway parking they have very clean changing rooms to shower with plenty of clean towels, individual showers (when using the facilities after leaving the room you have the option to spend the day and then shower).
The hotel is very well communicated with the pool/beach area, in the lawn area they have umbrellas and free sunbeds (it's a highlight). The lifeguards are very nice and attentive.
The pool is great, it is communicated by making an S.
The hotel provides you with free pool towels and you can change them once a day.
Highly recommended paellas and cheesecake.
Estuvimos alojadas en habitación superior y muy bien, nos dejaron incluso salir a las 14hr y así aprovechar el último día hasta el final.
En el parking subterráneo tienen unos vestuarios muy limpios para ducharte con un montón de toallas limpias, duchas individuales (al utilizar las instalaciones después de haber dejado la habitación tienes la opción de pasar el día y luego ducharte).
Esta muy bien comunicado el hotel con la zona piscina/playa, en la zona césped tienen sombrillas y amacas gratuitas(es un puntazo). Los socorristas muy majos y atentos.

Te proporciona el hotel toallas para la piscina Gratuitas y puedes cambiarlas 1 vez al día.
Muy recomendable las paellas y la tarta de queso.
In photos it looks like it has a beach area and it is pure marketing, it has a beach area with artificial sand but the water area / reservoir is full of bushes to not bathe, the only bathing area is the pool.
There is a beach bar which has a regulation and that is that you have to wear a t-shirt and you can not enter the beach bar in bikini (they do not sell you). My experience was: the first day I wore my t-shirt and we went to the beach bar and there was a father with his daughter without shirt and in swimsuit BOTH, just as they sold me (with clothes) the gentleman was also sold his coffee and a bag of Jumpers. The second day I forgot to put on my shirt and went in my bikini, well the waiter asked us what we needed, we told him two cokes and in tenths of a second the waitress girl came out and told us that they can't sell us anything without putting on a shirt. So I answered her that yesterday because they sold to a father and daughter what they asked for and they are giving me a hard time .... and I told her that if it is because they were from villas and I from the hotel, and her answer/excuse is that there are cameras, so my answer was that yesterday there were no cameras or how ... and with the same I left and did not return. It seemed to me that they were discriminating against me for not being from the villa area and being from the hotel area. And that for some there is that rule and for others there is not, or you sell us all without a shirt or with a shirt.
That also differs a lot, that the pool is common for all both hotel and villas but the lawn area is explained to you the first day that there is an area of Amacas and umbrellas for the hotel and then another for the people of the villas.
The fridge in the room did not cool the drinks.
I was going with half board and the dinner is closed menu, is one of the things that I did not like since I have food problems of allergies and the 3 first courses of the first I could not eat them, I asked if the 3 second courses could choose from there are two that if I could eat and they told me no. The waitress immediately went to the kitchen to ask if they could make me something first and they made me a sentence omelet, at least I ate something first, they solved the problem immediately.
En fotos sale como que tiene una zona de playa y es puro marketing, tiene zona playa con arena artificial pero la zona del agua/embalse está llena de matorrales para no bañarte, la única zona de baño es la piscina.
Hay un chiringuito el cual hay una normativa y es que tienes que ir con camiseta y no puedes entrar a pedir al chiringuito en bikini(no te venden). Mi experiencia fue: que el primer día me puse la camiseta y fuimos al chiringuito y había un padre con su hija sin camiseta y en bañador AMBOS, al igual que me vendieron a mi (con ropa) al caballero también le vendieron su café y una bolsa de Jumpers. El segundo día se me olvidó ponerme la camiseta y fui en bikini, bueno pues el camarero nos preguntó que necesitábamos le dijimos que dos cocacolas y en décimas de Segundo sale la chica camarera y nos dice que no nos pueden vender nada sin ponernos unas camiseta. Con lo que la respondí que ayer porque si que vendieron a un padre y a su hija lo que pidieron y a mi me están poniendo pegas….y la dije que si es porque ellos eran de villas y yo del hotel, y su respuesta/excusa es que hay cámaras, con lo que mi respuesta fue y ayer no había cámaras o como…y con las mismas me fui y no volví. Me pareció que me estaban discriminando por no ser de la zona de las villas y ser de la zona del hotel. Y que para unos si hay esa norma y para otros no, o nos vendes a todos sin camiseta o con camiseta.
Eso también se diferencia mucho, que la piscina es común para todos tanto hotel y villas pero la zona del césped te explican el primer día que hay una zona de Amacas y de sombrillas para el hotel y luego otra para la gente de las villas.
La nevera de la habitación no enfriaba las bebidas.
Yo iba con media pensión y la cena es menú cerrado, es una de las cosas que no me gusto ya que tengo problemas alimenticios de alergias y los 3 primeros platos de los primeros no podía comerlos, pregunté que si los 3 segundos platos podría elegir de hay dos que si que podía comer y me dijeron que no. Que solo podía elegir 1 plato de los segundos, la camarera enseguida fue a cocina a preguntar si me podían hacer algo de primero y me hicieron una tortillas frase, por lo menos comí algo de primero.Me resolvieron el problema enseguida.

I did not like anything that on the hotel page you put services that do not give as the artificial beach, that is totally abandoned and without any maintenance. And my personal complaint with a somewhat unpleasant reception guy, I had late check out under availability and did not let his companion not even look if we could stay.
No me a gustado nada que en la página del hotel te ponen servicios que no dan como la playa artificial ,eso está totalmente abandonado y sin ningún mantenimiento . Y mi queja personal con un chico de recepción un tanto desagradable , yo tenía salida tardía bajo disponibilidad y no dejo que su compañera ni siquiera mirara si podíamos quedarnos

I loved the location and the tranquility it provides.

The service of the restaurant did not convince me. We were 3 people and to order and eat 1 dish each, it took us almost 2 hours. We stayed at the hotel for dinner so that it would take less time and it was the conversation during dinner. Thank goodness we stayed to take less time. It took us a while to order and we were a couple of tables when we sat down and everything took longer and longer. The rest was great.
El servicio del restaurante no me acabó de convencer. Éramos 3 personas y para pedir y comer 1 plato cada 1, tardamos casi 2 horas. Nos quedamos en el hotel a cenar por eso de tardar menos y fue la conversación durante la cena. Menos mal que nos hemos quedado para tardar menos. Tardamos en pedir y éramos un par de mesas cuando nos sentamos y se fue alargando todo. El resto fenomenal.

The breakfast buffet was very complete.

The beach is only for walking (you can't swim in the reservoir). From reception you are referred to other people (they don't know anything). The guy who was supposed to take care of the bikes and trails did not answer the phone and the only thing you can do there is to swim in the pool, walk on unmarked trails on the golf course, eat and sleep.
La playa es solo para pasear (no se puede bañar uno en el embalse). Desde recepción te derivan a otras personas (ellos no saben nada). El chico que supuestamente llevaba lo de las bicis y pistas no nos cogió el teléfono y lo único que se puede hacer allí es bañarse en la piscina, andar por senderos no señalizados del campo de golf, comer y dormir.

The pool is the only thing that is good and the golf course.
La piscina es lo unico que esta bien y el campo de golf.
They offer a place with an artificial beach which is not there because it is full of reeds and you can not bathe, hotel to make some arrangements, there is no maintenance in that place because there is some problem with the area and is involved in trial for collapse.
Ofrecen un lugar con playa artificial el cual no hay ya que esta lleno de cañizo y no se puede bañar,hotel para hacer algunos arreglos ,no hay mantenimiento en ese lugar debido a que hay algún problema con la zona y esta metido en juicio para derrumbe.No lo recomiendo para ir en familia.
