Estepona is a charming town on the Costa del Sol, in the southern region of Andalusia, Spain. It is renowned for its unspoilt beaches, lively marina and picturesque old town.
Estepona is just 20 minutes from the popular resort town of Marbella and 45 minutes from Malaga, making it a convenient base for exploring other parts of the region.
A must-try local dish is espeto, which consists of sardines cooked on a spit over an open flame. Another popular dish is ajo blanco, a refreshing cold soup made with almonds, garlic and bread.
